Junior FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold financial models for various client projects.

• Assist in creating monthly financial reporting packages, dashboards, and variance analyses (comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts).

• Aid in formulating annual budgets and rolling forecasts for clients spanning different sectors.

• Perform business performance analysis by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities using financial and operational data.

• Contribute to the design and maintenance of KPI dashboards and management reporting tools.

• Support the preparation of fundraising and investor materials, including financial projections, cap table modeling, and data room setup.

• Conduct research on industry benchmarks and participate in market and competitive analyses.

• Work closely with senior team members to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for founders and executives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in FP&A, financial consulting, auditing, or investment banking.

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting.

• Professional-level proficiency in English is essential due to the nature of client interactions.

• Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, as financial modeling is a fundamental aspect of the position.

• Understanding of accounting principles, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Experience or a keen interest in FP&A, business modeling, or management reporting.

• Familiarity with BI or data visualization tools (such as Power BI, Looker, or similar) is an advantage.

• Experience with tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent accounting platforms is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of SQL or a willingness to learn is appreciated.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• A strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn across various industries.

• Excellent communication skills to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.

• Comfort with ambiguity and the dynamic nature of entrepreneurial settings.
