Junior Forward-Deployed AI Engineer – LLM/ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Engage with users in the field, observe their workflows, and document current states, objectives, and limitations.

• Establish hypotheses and key performance indicators (precision/recall, false positive rate, turnaround time, coverage, cost per decision) and develop them into experimental plans.

• Create decision-making frameworks that integrate large language models, retrieval/RAG, traditional machine learning, and simple rules; ensure these are explainable and auditable.

• Develop rapid prototypes (from notebooks to lightweight services/APIs) and assess their effects on real data.

• Generate evaluation datasets and scoring criteria (including offline assessments, side-by-side comparisons, sanity checks, and guardrails).

• Share insights and recommendations directly with decision-makers; propose implementation strategies (from pilot projects to production-lite to full-scale deployment).

• Spearhead innovation initiatives across the organization; test and advocate for solutions while mentoring others in new AI technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills: adept at deconstructing ambiguous challenges and conveying risks to non-technical stakeholders.

• Practical experience with large language models and machine learning: familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, prompting, tool invocation, classification, ranking, deduplication, as well as the basics of evaluation and experimentation.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL sufficient to create and maintain functional prototypes.
