This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop accounting schedules in Excel, which include provisions for doubtful accounts and employee bonuses.
• Create depreciation and amortization schedules, including those for prepaid assets.
• Generate variable compensation schedules for sales personnel.
• Support the preparation of client invoices.
• Contribute to accounts receivable accounting and collections.
• Assist with ongoing finance tasks such as payroll, insurance, financial reporting, audits, month-end closing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Conduct financial analyses in Excel under the supervision of the Head of Finance.
• Help with updates to budgets and forecasts.
• Aid in managing cap tables and equity.
• Assist in the preparation for board meetings and board resolutions.
• Provide high-level administrative assistance to the CEO, COO, Financial Controller, and Head of Finance.
• Manage sensitive information with discretion, fostering trust and professionalism.
• Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and implement operational systems.
• Execute ad-hoc operations, finance, and accounting tasks.
• 1–2 years of experience as a junior finance assistant, financial analyst, accounting assistant, controller assistant, or a comparable role.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Capability to work independently and take initiative with minimal oversight.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to remain composed under pressure.
• Analytical, logical, and driven by data.
• Tech-savvy with a quick adaptability to new tools and platforms.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting concepts and principles, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Accounts Receivable Aging, Debits and Credits, Journal Entries, Reserves, and Accruals.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Basic experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Familiarity with Ramp and/or payroll platforms such as TriNet, ADP, or JustWorks is advantageous but not essential.
