Junior Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• As a Junior Editor, you will take charge of operating, maintaining, and enhancing a variety of editorial tools that are essential for upholding the high standards of the novels we publish.

• Your main duties will include running editing tools on manuscripts and reviewing them to ensure compliance with our quality standards.

• Work collaboratively with the Content Team to facilitate overall editorial workflows.

• Offer comprehensive feedback and recommendations for the improvement of editing tools.

• Capable of performing swift copyedits, line edits, proofreading, and beta-reading as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Location: Remote; must be available for meetings during San Francisco hours.

• Language: Must be a native English speaker.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional editing experience, including at least 1 year in editing fiction.

• Skills: Strong copyediting skills and a basic understanding of quantitative reasoning.

• Interests: A genuine interest in leveraging AI to enhance editorial processes.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Genre Knowledge: Familiarity with Romance and its subgenres, particularly Paranormal Romance, Contemporary, and Erotica.

• Tech Savvy: Knowledge of AI models, along with enthusiasm for utilizing AI and exploring new applications and implementations.

• Bonus: Residing in or near San Francisco.
