Junior Data Scientist – GenAI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Join the Data Science team, concentrating on LLMs and GenAI, with a focus on platform and marketplace dynamics.

• You will create models, refine them for optimal performance, evaluate their effectiveness, and ultimately deploy them in a production environment. You will have the opportunity to see your work in action and assess the tangible impact of your models (though this may be less expected, it remains a necessity).

• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, which involves asking insightful questions to business professionals and translating their needs into feasible projects. Collaboration with other teams, such as infrastructure and data engineering, is essential to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to provide solutions (both customer-facing and platform-related) for our clients (including internal and external customers).

• Partner with Product Analytics to monitor the KPIs of various ML applications and evaluate their impact on our users.

• Work alongside the Experimentation team to incorporate KPIs and their proxies into the A/B testing platform.

• Engage in multi-functional teams within a diverse, multinational setting, comprising individuals from Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Data Scientist.

• Some familiarity with Generative AI and LLMs (e.g., foundational concepts such as Transformer-based architectures, embeddings, etc.).

• Solid understanding of best engineering practices.

• Experience in deploying machine learning models at scale.

• Strong engineering foundation: exceptional proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience utilizing machine learning frameworks in production environments: Scikit-Learn, Pytorch (or similar).

• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures for deploying machine learning solutions.

• Proficient in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
