This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Grasp critical challenges in agriculture and aquaculture along with supply chains and metrics for evaluating supply chain sustainability.

• Clean, integrate, and analyze both structured and unstructured supply chain data from diverse sources, including farms, factories, IoT sensors, ERP systems, open-source data, and FAI’s proprietary applications.

• Work in partnership with FAI’s consultants and industry specialists to identify and resolve data-related issues.

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Develop clear visualizations and decision-support dashboards to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Convert findings into actionable recommendations for clients and the industry.

• Construct and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.

• Document methodologies, code, and outcomes, and present findings to ensure reproducibility and mutual understanding.

• Keep abreast of advancements in data science, machine learning, and relevant industry trends.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proficient in Python and/or R, with experience in data wrangling and modeling.

• Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.

• Familiarity with fundamental machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering, etc.).

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI).

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills — capable of explaining and presenting data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable working with messy, real-world datasets.

• Eagerness to engage in research to acquire domain-specific knowledge.
