Junior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate new data sources and guarantee a smooth data flow and accessibility throughout the organization.

• Implement and oversee ETL processes to transfer data from various origins into the warehouse.

• Assist in the development and testing of new features, models, and data processes within data warehouses.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by establishing policies and performing regular audits.

• Monitor and enhance database and system performance while troubleshooting issues as they arise.

• Document technical designs, workflows, best practices, and system documentation thoroughly.

• Support the in-house unification process and downstream data integrations.

• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the data lifecycle.

• Implement data validation and cleansing procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience with cloud-based BI and data solutions, preferably AWS.

• Demonstrated experience in operating production pipelines.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Experience in delivering reliable datasets for BI, analytics, and data science initiatives.

• Responsibility for data quality, testing, and documentation.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with relational and dimensional data models.

• Self-motivated individual comfortable in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.

• Quick learner of new tools and concepts.

• General knowledge of soccer.

• Ability to connect micro details to the broader vision and mission.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

• Desired: experience with Prefect for data orchestration.

• Desired: experience managing AWS Redshift data warehouses.

• Background and passion for soccer, sports, and/or entertainment preferred.

• Familiarity with Salesforce data structure and concepts.

• Capability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities effectively.
