Junior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Support the Data Engineering team in transitioning from BigQuery to Snowflake.

• Convert and enhance SQL queries for compatibility across different platforms.

• Conduct comprehensive validation to guarantee data accuracy and the reliability of pipelines.

• Develop and sustain incremental dbt models.

• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to identify data requirements and provide effective solutions.

• Engage in code reviews, disseminate knowledge, and contribute to the establishment of best practices within the team.

• Clearly document all work to facilitate maintainability and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in data engineering.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and debug queries.

• Fundamental understanding of dbt (data build tool).

• Basic familiarity with Snowflake and/or Python.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools.

• A collaborative attitude paired with excellent communication skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail concerning data quality and validation.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.
