Junior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Involvement in the development and upkeep of data pipelines

• Collaboration on the design and structure of databases for analytical functions, including Data Mesh, Data Mart, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse

• Execution of relational and/or analytical data modeling along with ETL process implementation

• Creation of SQL queries to address complex challenges in an efficient manner

• Development and evaluation of Data Visualization reports utilizing Microsoft Power BI

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or possessing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

• Understanding of database modeling for analytical objectives, including Data Mesh, Data Mart, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, along with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis

• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, S3, Lake Formation, and Glue

• Proficiency in programming with Python

• Knowledge of distributed processing technologies such as Hadoop and Spark

• Awareness of quantitative metrics like KPIs and OKRs

• Enthusiasm for adhering to software engineering best practices, including documentation, automated testing, and clean coding principles
