Junior Consultant – Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain dbt transformation pipelines under the guidance of a senior technical lead.

• Craft and enhance SQL utilized for transformation logic, data preparation, and development within the warehouse.

• Utilize Snowflake to query, transform, and oversee data in support of production delivery.

• Construct and maintain dbt models, incorporating staging and transformation layers.

• Assist in data quality and validation efforts, which include dbt tests and automated testing methodologies.

• Adhere to established schemas, data models, naming conventions, and delivery frameworks as defined by the senior lead and the enterprise architecture team.

• Document models, transformations, and workflow logic as necessary.

• Engage in Agile delivery methodologies and collaborate efficiently across time zones within a pod-based team structure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or closely related work focused on transformations.

• Practical experience with dbt for data transformations in a project or production setting.

• Strong foundation in SQL, including joins, aggregations, and transformation procedures.

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms like Redshift.

• Knowledge of ETL / ELT processes and how raw data is converted into functional downstream datasets.

• Familiarity with or exposure to dbt testing and validation practices.

• Capability to operate within established schemas and modeling patterns rather than creating warehouse designs from the ground up.

• Excellent communication skills and the professionalism to work effectively with a senior lead and a distributed team.
