Junior Back-End Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development and upkeep of backend services utilizing NestJS TypeScript.

• Assist in creating straightforward backend functionalities, REST APIs, and microservices.

• Engage with fundamental CRUD operations, authentication, and storage solutions (file/database).

• Employ AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) primarily for programming support.

• Aid in monitoring server logs, troubleshooting errors, and addressing user-reported concerns.

• Conduct basic debugging of API and database challenges under supervision.

• Support in resolving minor bugs and executing minor backend enhancements.

• Maintain documentation of changes and adhere to established coding standards.

• Collaborate with senior developers for task allocation and code evaluations.

• Clearly communicate progress during daily stand-up meetings.

• Adhere to best practices and remain receptive to coaching and mentorship.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in web development (or a strong project portfolio).

• Proficient in NestJS, Node.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiar with basic API development (REST endpoints, request validation).

• Basic knowledge of Python.

• Experience in microservices architecture.

• Experienced with PostgreSQL (query writing, basic schema design).

• Eagerness to learn about AI tools and new frameworks.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with direction and a desire for personal growth.
