• Record and review accounting entries to ensure accuracy and timely postings across all entities.
• Conduct reconciliations for banks, intercompany accounts, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accounting schedules and supply supporting documentation for month-end closure.
• Aid in the timely completion of month-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, journals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet schedules) for internal and third-party review.
• Examine supplier invoices to ensure correct accounting treatment and VAT coding.
• Confirm accurate accounting for service-company invoices (management fees, recharges, cost allocations).
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements by compiling schedules and supporting reports.
• Ensure the accounting system remains organized, structured, and compliant with group policies.
• Work with PSP/Provider reconciliation staff to guarantee accurate monthly revenue and fee recognition.
• Coordinate with local tax advisors in various countries to ensure timely filing of VAT/GST, corporate tax, and statutory accounts.
• Prepare and submit mandatory financial reports to regulators and licensing bodies across different jurisdictions.
• Assemble audit-ready files, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.
• Serve as a key contact for external auditors during year-end group audits.
• Engage in the development and implementation of internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in finance-related roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Eagerness to engage in the daily operations of the finance department, particularly in a growing company.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data, recognizing trends, and providing recommendations based on insights.
• Capability to enhance finance processes and systems, promoting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., gambling, financial services) is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (ACCA, CIMA, etc.) are a plus.
• Familiarity with tax laws, VAT regulations, and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
