This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhancing and implementing required internal and external Cybersecurity audits.
• Gathering, analyzing, and reporting FISMA metrics on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Collaborating with HHS on FISMA metrics submissions and responding to follow-up inquiries.
• Carrying out program and project management activities to address audit findings.
• Conducting Information Technology audits and cybersecurity evaluations.
• Engaging with customers regarding upcoming audits.
• Creating audit materials tailored for non-IT audiences.
• Performing technical writing to document the results of audits.
• Meeting with CDC leadership to establish prioritized lists of program objectives.
• Developing ongoing audit status reports utilizing tools like the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Coordinating, scheduling, and leading audit status and priority review meetings.
• Offering professional services support for implementing specific actions to achieve program objectives.
• Enhancing, maintaining, and providing leadership with audit tracking tools.
• Documenting and defining corrective actions necessary to meet each recommendation objective.
• Facilitating regular touchpoint meetings with leadership to review the status of outstanding audit items.
• Creating audit responses and closure packages that include deliverables necessary for external audits and internal assessments.
• Developing documentation needed to support audit requests and remediation through the implementation of technical controls aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Drafting high-level briefings and preparing materials for critical audit initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing or a similar field.
• Experience in conducting audits within a federal contracting environment.
• An active Public Trust clearance or higher is mandatory.
• **Education & Certifications**
• A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A CISA certification is mandatory.
• CISSP or CISM certifications are highly preferred.
