This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Support the planning and execution of second and third-party audits, as well as validation and verification (VVB) activities of environmental information, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, environmental regulations, and specific certification criteria.
• Focus particularly on carbon and sustainability projects throughout the food production and processing supply chain, using recognized methodologies and relying on objective evidence.
• Contribute to the technical consistency, traceability, transparency, and impartiality of evaluation processes, with progressive autonomy based on proven competencies recorded in the CIMS.
• Assist in the planning and execution of both national and international audits, including second-party (clients and suppliers) and third-party (external audits).
• Conduct activities such as site sampling, interviews, and defining audit schedules, ensuring alignment with established standards.
• Prepare preliminary audit activities by consulting stakeholders, researching backgrounds, and collecting key documents to optimize time and quality of the process.
• Perform validation/verification activities and remote or on-site audits in accordance with normative requirements of the scope (ISO 19011, ISO 17065, ISO 14065:2023, ISO 17029:2021), with autonomy granted upon demonstration of competencies recorded in the CIMS, relying on collected evidence and ensuring independence, impartiality, and objectivity.
• Draft audit reports and checklists, submitting them for technical review or approval, ensuring the quality and traceability of information.
• Record and monitor non-conformity reports, analyzing clients' action plans and overseeing the implementation of corrective measures.
• Support the application of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission accounting methodologies, ensuring consistency with recognized standards.
• Verify compliance with international sustainability standards, including impact reporting, environmental regulations, and social and environmental safeguards, when applicable.
• Record travel expenses and administrative proofs in accordance with internal policies.
• Keep personal and professional records up to date (audit certificates, logs, visas, passport, driver's license, vaccinations).
• Participate in training and internal meetings, promoting continuous learning in auditing and certification practices.
• Adhere to internal and client health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Identify risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities, communicating with responsible teams to define corrective actions.
• Ensure confidentiality and the absence of conflicts of interest in all activities performed.
• High motivation and passion for sustainability and climate change, as well as their regulations.
• Commitment to ethics, impartiality, and ESG practices.
• Ability to apply auditing principles according to ISO 19011.
• Ability to support audits in environmental certifications.
• Proficiency in using Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Capability to apply sustainability concepts and remote sensing/GIS tools in carbon project audits and verifications.
• Ability to interpret and apply environmental standards and forestry/agricultural certification regulations in audits.
• Intermediate English (reading, writing, and conversation).
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, or related fields.
• Valid Class B driver's license.
• Experience in auditing or consulting is not mandatory for the Junior level, but possessing a passport, visas, and up-to-date vaccination records is desirable.
• Previous participation in activities related to sustainability or environmental certifications is preferable.
• Prior experience in recognized certifications is a plus.
• Availability for domestic and international travel.
