This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Conduct service on equipment, which includes inspecting and testing systems to ensure functionality for a range of units such as chillers, fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Repair and replace faulty equipment, components, or wiring as needed.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to detect potential issues, aiming to prevent premature failures and unnecessary callbacks.
• Execute intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC systems.
• Carry out warranty service applications by independently inspecting and testing systems to confirm the functionality of all commercial HVAC equipment.
• Provide education to both technical and non-technical customers regarding proper equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and the use of operating manuals.
• Lead and engage in the rebuilding and retrofitting of commercial HVAC level units, guiding apprentice technicians through hands-on demonstrations of essential procedures.
• Document and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other necessary items accurately and promptly.
• Upload programs into commercial HVAC equipment and microcontrollers, and analyze chiller trend data to guarantee optimal performance.
• Participate in available training opportunities through regional technician trainers and off-site learning modules.
• Maintain all necessary certifications and continuously develop new skill sets.
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, and the maintenance of a clean work environment at all times.
• Complete jobsite hazard assessments prior to starting service and adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies, as well as OSHA guidelines.
• A minimum of 5 years of related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Recognized as a Journeyman by the union.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a technical school with an HVAC certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
• Availability for rotational emergency call support.
• Necessary licenses and/or training cards as mandated by local law district.
• Factory Certified Training opportunities.
• Refrigeration Certification or other professional on-the-job training in the HVAC industry.
