This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Seeking a Java back-end developer for AWS to engage in strategic initiatives within the banking sector, contributing to the design and development of robust, scalable, and highly available solutions in cloud and distributed environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on, collaborative, and consultative individual who thrives in agile teams and actively participates in technical enhancements, architectural advancements, and knowledge sharing.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot;
• Construct and oversee microservices architectures as well as monolithic applications;
• Design and consume REST APIs;
• Engage in defining and advancing solutions on public cloud AWS and private cloud OpenShift;
• Implement asynchronous integrations through messaging with Kafka and SQS;
• Develop process-oriented solutions using Camunda BPMN;
• Establish and uphold unit tests and coverage with JUnit, Mockito, and JaCoCo;
• Apply design patterns, development best practices, and architectural principles;
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and environment configuration;
• Suggest ongoing improvements aimed at enhancing performance, scalability, stability, and efficiency of systems;
• Share technical expertise with team members, fostering a collaborative environment and continuous learning.
• Extensive experience in Java development on mission-critical projects handling high data volumes, preferably within the banking sector;
• Proficiency in Java;
• Familiarity with Spring Framework and Spring Boot;
• Experience in REST API development;
• Knowledge of microservices architecture;
• Experience with monolithic applications;
• Proficient in MySQL database;
• Experience with messaging using Kafka;
• Skilled in unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, and JaCoCo Coverage;
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services;
• Application of design patterns and development best practices;
• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, S3, EC2, Lambda, and Kafka.
