Java Software Engineer, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Perform research, assess technologies, and recommend effective software solutions that meet client needs and business aims.

• Continuously enhance your expertise as a Java Software Engineer while offering support and guidance to teammates and stakeholders.

• Produce high-quality code that adheres to all specifications and actively engage in the code review process.

• Utilize the latest Java features to incorporate advanced functionalities and foster innovation within applications.

• Work alongside DevOps teams to containerize and deploy applications, facilitating CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Engage in architectural discussions and conduct code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software development.

• Strong understanding of Java 8 or above and related design patterns (e.g., SOLID principles, Design Patterns).

• Significant experience with Spring Boot and Web Services (REST) as well as persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate) using relational databases.

• Practical experience with hexagonal architecture, domain-driven design, and microservices architecture.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities (debugging, source control).

• Proficient German communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

• Advanced English communication skills (both written and spoken).

• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Solid understanding of Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated build and deployment processes.

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
