This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Design, enhance, and maintain backend applications utilizing Java and JVM technologies.

• Create and support microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Engage with legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, Primefaces) to implement upgrades and modernization efforts.

• Participate in the complete development lifecycle, including analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Establish and manage integrations between systems through messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka).

• Work on the containerization and orchestration of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Ensure adherence to development best practices such as clean coding, testing, version control, and code review.

• Assist in resolving incidents and contribute to the continuous enhancement of production systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting (Scrum/Kanban).

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.

• Strong background in software engineering with Java or JVM-based languages.

• Experience in:

• API and microservices development (Spring Boot and/or Node.js).

• Legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, Primefaces).

• Containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, or similar).

• Data streaming processing (Kafka / Kafka Streams).

• Familiarity with application servers (WebSphere, JBoss).

• Expertise in relational databases (SQL Server).

• Understanding of development best practices, testing, and code quality standards.
