Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs.

• Contribute to the development and advancement of microservices-based architectures.

• Build integrations between internal systems and enterprise platforms.

• Engage in defining technical solutions and making architectural decisions.

• Maintain code quality by adhering to development best practices and conducting code reviews.

• Implement unit testing and assist with automated testing strategies.

• Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues in both development and production environments.

• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Mobile Development teams.

• Take part in agile ceremonies, aiding in planning and execution of delivery.

• Foster continuous improvements in application architecture, performance, and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in backend development using Java.

• Expertise with the Spring Boot framework.

• Experience in developing REST APIs.

• Familiarity with microservices-based architecture.

• Knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server.

• Experience with messaging technologies like Apache Kafka.

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of version control and collaboration tools (Git).

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.

• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Proven ability to analyze and resolve application performance and stability challenges.

• Desired technical knowledge includes: Java 17+, Spring Framework, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, Maven, Gradle, Kafka Streams, OpenShift, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, TDD, BDD, WebSphere, JBoss, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and observability tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus.
