Java Cloud Software Engineer – Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Participate in the entire product development cycle, from design to programming, testing, and software deployment.

• Research and integrate open-source software components.

• Create or enhance our cloud products based on open-source frameworks.

• Work on new features and bug fixing for the product group associated with the squad.

• Write Java code to improve an open-source tool.

• Integrate or create a Helm Chart for deployment in Kubernetes.

• Conduct automated deployment in a lab environment.

• Perform troubleshooting activities with other departments.

• Participate in brief Scrum meetings or technical discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in software development (JAVA).

• Advanced knowledge of Java.

• Experience in creating complex web applications using standard frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, DropWizard, etc.

• Understanding of data structures, OOP, computational complexity, design patterns, and concurrency.

• Intermediate networking skills.

• Knowledge of networking and networks (VLAN, routes, firewalls, etc.).

• Understand the concepts of network protocols, IP addressing, and routing.

• Basic understanding of networks from a programming perspective (interfaces, sockets, ports, etc.) and experience with common protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and REST.

• Intermediate Linux skills.

• Familiarity with basic commands, file manipulation, networking, etc.

• Proven experience with Shell scripting (Bash).

• Intermediate Docker skills.

• Experience with creating and using container images with Docker (intermediate level).

• Ability to create images using a Dockerfile.

• Knowledge of the Docker container lifecycle.

• Intermediate Git skills.

• Intermediate English proficiency (reading/writing): able to search in English.
