Java Backend Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Mentor and cultivate the talents of your team members.

• Create, develop, and maintain new functionalities for the Imara Impact software.

• Oversee the tasks that the software engineering team is responsible for.

• Implement software engineering principles in the design, development, maintenance, testing, and assessment of our software solutions.

• Ensure that the software developed is secure and compliant with data protection standards.

• Maintain documentation of your work, ensuring it is clear and accessible for future reference by others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in backend engineering, specializing in JVM languages.

• More than 3 years of formal leadership experience managing a team of Java backend engineers, including conducting team performance evaluations.

• Familiarity with Microservices architecture and AWS.

• Significant experience with the Spring framework and various other Java backend tools and frameworks.

• Experience or knowledge of Salesforce CRM is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in Java development and the capability to build scalable systems.
