Java Backend Engineer – Web3 Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute high-efficiency pipelines for parsing, calculating, and aggregating on-chain data across various blockchain networks (such as EVM, Solana, etc.).

• Design and enhance Java-based distributed microservices aimed at real-time and batch data processing.

• Create data computation layers that facilitate ultra-rapid statistical calculations, including token prices, swaps, liquidity metrics, and protocol-level KPIs.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to seamlessly integrate pipelines with Kafka, Redis, RDS, and data lake environments.

• Design and oversee scalable data models that accommodate multi-chain and historical data.

• Build fault-tolerant, monitored, and self-recovering backend systems that ensure zero downtime.

• Implement robust observability and performance monitoring for parsing and computation modules.

• Participate in system-level architecture discussions to ensure alignment with the long-term strategy of the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in backend development utilizing Java, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Comprehensive understanding of blockchain principles, including transactions, events, state changes, and node RPC interactions.

• Extensive experience with distributed systems, streaming data, and frameworks for real-time computation.

• In-depth knowledge of commonly used middleware technologies such as Kafka, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, xxl-job, and caching strategies for managing high-throughput workloads.

• Strong expertise in microservice performance optimization and low-latency design (including threading, async processes, and batching techniques).

• Exceptional communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Reactor would be considered a valuable asset.
