Java Backend Developer, Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Proven experience in developing Mobile-focused Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions.

• Architect and build scalable, robust backend systems utilizing Java.

• Maintain high standards of code quality with an emphasis on performance and maintainability.

• Advocate for best practices in software engineering, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Clean Code principles.

• Conduct code reviews, optimize existing code, engage in pair programming, and mentor team members.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert intricate business rules into effective software solutions.

• Encourage the sharing of technical knowledge and support development teams.

• Lead the establishment of technical guidelines for client requirements gathering.

• Take technical responsibility for backend-related challenges across various projects and products.

• Ensure comprehensive technical documentation and application security measures are in place.

• Independently propose solutions and contribute to decision-making across different leadership levels.

• Facilitate consensus in complex technical decisions, promoting collaboration and alignment among development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages, particularly Java 8 and above.

• Experience in developing software components for various platforms.

• Advanced expertise in the Spring Boot framework.

• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab CI, and AWS Cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Redis.

• Advanced understanding of messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of design patterns and microservices architecture.

• Awareness of agile methodologies and development practices.

• A Bachelor's degree either completed or in progress, ideally in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related disciplines.
