Java Back End – Remote anywhere in México

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, and upkeep of RESTful APIs in accordance with best practices.

• Aid in the implementation and ongoing support of microservices.

• Work on integrating applications via internal and external APIs under the guidance of senior developers.

• Facilitate integrations between external frontends (e.g., DigiPro) and backend systems, including legacy systems developed in COBOL.

• Collaborate in environments utilizing enterprise middleware (WebLogic) and gain experience with version migrations (e.g., v14).

• Learn and support connection methods using technologies like Tuxedo connectors.

• Work alongside frontend, QA, DevOps, and software architecture teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in backend development: Java / Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of REST API development.

• Understanding of microservices architecture.

• Proficient in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).

• Familiarity with Git version control.

• Basic knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth2, JWT).

• Exposure to WebLogic or enterprise application servers.

• Fundamental understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with legacy systems or integration concepts (COBOL experience is a plus).

• Nice to have: Basic knowledge of Docker.

• Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube).

• Knowledge of security scanning tools (e.g., Veracode, Black Duck).

• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.

• Experience in understanding existing or external codebases.
