This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Gather, document, and prioritize reporting and analytics use cases (participant 360 views, pension calculations, survivor inquiries, state compliance analyses, inactive population communications) within the benefits and HRIS domains.
• Collect comprehensive functional and data requirements encompassing data elements, derivation rules, transformations, and validation logic associated with plan rules and operational processes.
• Establish and uphold IV&V strategy, test plans, and test scenarios that encompass data ingestion, transformations, reconciliations, controls, and performance — aligned with project artifacts (requirements, risk register, test plans).
• Create and implement structured test cases and data-validation checks for PoC and incremental deliverables, independently evaluating data accuracy, integration quality, and compliance with HRIS and benefits requirements.
• Record defects, gaps, and issues in a clear and traceable manner, including impact analysis and remediation suggestions — maintaining independence from implementation vendors.
• Work in collaboration with Data Architects and Governance/Security leads to ensure that requirements and test cases address data quality, privacy, and compliance expectations for benefits and HRIS data.
• Compile go-live readiness assessments and IV&V validation reports that summarize test coverage, findings, simplification opportunities, residual risks, and decision options for OEB leadership.
• Must have Permanent Residency or US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years as a business analyst or QA/IV&V analyst with direct experience in defined benefit (DB) and/or defined contribution (DC) retirement plan administration.
• Proven ability to gather and document complex use cases and business rules from benefits, actuarial, and compliance stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in defining and executing IV&V or data validation test strategies for data ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Experience working independently from implementation teams to generate objective validation reports and go-live readiness assessments.
• Strong skills in requirements documentation, including use cases, data dictionaries, business rules, and traceability matrices.
• Capability to develop realistic test scenarios based on plan rules, participant data structures, and actual benefits operations.
• Medical, dental, 401(k) match, flexible spending, and more.
• Up to 27 days off a year (including your birthday!).
• Remote work opportunities.
• Parental leave.
• Wellness benefits and many other offerings that promote balance and flexibility.
