This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create original reading passages and assessment items that meet project and client requirements.
• Generate content for standardized assessments focused on Reading and Literacy.
• Oversee content through internal review processes, integrating feedback from reviewers and subject matter experts.
• Collaborate during content creation and review meetings.
• Implement revisions to ensure precision, alignment, and adherence to quality standards.
• Execute content-related production tasks, which include final web approvals and updates following committee reviews.
• Provide support for educator and client content review meetings, including facilitation assistance.
• Cultivate expertise in item writing, scoring, and content review processes.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of assessment content and development methodologies.
• Ensure project timelines and deliverables are met while upholding quality and attention to detail.
• Travel approximately 1 to 8 weeks annually, including 2–5 consecutive days at a time and occasional summer trips.
• A bachelor's degree in English Education, English, Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field is required.
• 2–3 years of pertinent professional experience in education, curriculum development, assessment development, content creation, or a related field.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the capability to produce high-quality educational content.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, quality work.
• Capacity to identify challenges and formulate effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and apply item writing, scoring, and assessment development methodologies.
• Must reside and work within the USA.
• Availability to travel approximately 1–8 weeks per year, including 2–5 consecutive days at a time and periodic summer travel.
