This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Create and implement automation testing for the NMDP Information Technology Quality Assurance team.
• Strategize, design, and develop automation frameworks to transition manual regression tests into automated processes.
• Provide mentorship to project teams on automation and performance testing methodologies.
• Oversee and carry out automation test activities, along with delivering comprehensive reporting.
• Offer QA leadership and advocate for best practices, a culture of quality, and ongoing improvement.
• Detect, report, and resolve quality-related risks, issues, and obstacles.
• Lead or coordinate various types of testing including performance, load, security, functional, smoke, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, customers, IT project teams, business partners, and operations partners.
• Design, construct, organize, and maintain test scripts and libraries for automation frameworks.
• Develop test scripts for web services, messaging, database validation, file handling, and XML parsing.
• Monitor and report on automation testing outcomes.
• Create utility programs and explore new automation tools and methodologies for installation.
• Support production testing, defect triage, hot fixes, release regression, smoke testing, and post-implementation transitions.
• Guide QA team members and developers in adopting automation best practices.
• Contribute to the establishment of enterprise-wide QA automation standards and initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, mathematics, or a related technical field that requires programming; equivalent experience and/or education may be considered as a substitute.
• A minimum of 10 years in IT, encompassing QA experience with software testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• At least 5 years of formal software test automation experience with Windows and client-server applications.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile development.
• 3 years of experience in Salesforce automation and/or development, applicable only to Salesforce roles.
• Familiarity with quality assurance principles, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Proficient in object-oriented design and programming using languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or other modern object-oriented languages.
• Experience with tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Maven, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Drone, JIRA, ALM, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or similar software.
• Proven experience in designing test strategies and plans, conducting quality reviews, implementing quality standards, tracking defects, and addressing system/environment issues.
• Demonstrated experience leading QA teams and providing project status updates and risk assessments.
• Experience in implementing a Quality Management System evaluated by ISO 25010 and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
• Background in regulated industries like healthcare or life sciences, applying GxP or FDA-aligned validation practices.
• Proficient in test automation and performance testing techniques.
• Experience in measuring QA effectiveness and developing enterprise metrics.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional/matrixed teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with executive management.
