IT Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Deliver IT support and bank access for an expanding team of accountants, managers, engineers, and sales personnel.

• Utilize systems analysis techniques and procedures to assess the functionality of hardware and software systems.

• Oversee the help desk and enhance the existing solutions in line with best practices.

• Offer IT support to over 450 employees.

• Ensure all employee machines have up-to-date antivirus software and that all software and operating system updates are current.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders regarding IT initiatives.

• Lead the organization in IT process and device management.

• Create process documentation outlining policies for the entire organization to follow.

• Stay informed about social engineering attacks and their various characteristics.

• Monitor all devices for any suspicious activity or behavior.

• Set up and administer firewalls and other security protocols.

• Manage remote access solutions for support.

• Provide remote assistance to users in various scenarios.

• Troubleshoot incidents related to Windows, Mac, and other issues.

• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders about challenges and requirements to deliver clear, useful, and precise information.

• Promptly and accurately inform the team when encountering obstacles and proactively seek solutions as soon as possible.

• Take the initiative to write clear documentation when necessary without needing to be prompted.

• Offer support and clear guidance to users in both English and Spanish.

• Patiently instruct non-technical team members on best security practices.

• Take ownership of projects by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of results.

• Write and deploy scripts to automate IT processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working independently in IT or as part of a team of IT professionals.

• Experience in managing cloud-based antivirus solutions and applications.

• Ability to identify, implement, and deliver IT initiatives and projects.

• Capable of communicating findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable working in a geographically diverse and cross-functional environment.

• Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
