IT Security Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Manage KBR's Active Directory, Azure/Entra, and various information security systems.

• Ensure that security controls, procedures, and designs align with established information security standards.

• Handle security requests to guarantee that proper approvals are documented.

• Work collaboratively with other teams to design and implement secure systems.

• Monitor the queue to resolve and troubleshoot different system access issues.

• Identify and investigate security violations, ascertain causes, and apply corrective measures.

• Oversee and monitor security events and incidents, and provide incident response.

• Engage in security audits and assessments, assisting with corrective actions.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.

• Over 2 years of experience in IT security or a related discipline.

• Extensive knowledge of information security systems, protocols, and standards.

• Practical experience with security tools and technologies (such as Active Directory, Microsoft Azure/Entra, Microsoft Exchange, etc.).

• Understanding of industry-standard security frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated expertise in incident detection, response, and post-incident analysis.

• Ability to communicate technical security issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
