
IT Procurement Specialist – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
• Receive requests for quotes (RFQs) and procurement inquiries from both sales and technical teams.
• Source IT hardware, software licenses, subscriptions, services, and renewals.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from distributors, vendors, and suppliers within the UAE.
• Ensure that the offered products fulfill the specified technical and commercial criteria.
• Recommend appropriate alternatives when requested products are unavailable or have been discontinued.
• Negotiate pricing, payment conditions, warranty terms, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee deal registrations, project pricing inquiries, discounts, and validity of quotations.
• Prepare comparison sheets for suppliers and project costing.
• Provide the sales team with accurate and timely purchasing information.
• Generate purchase orders and maintain procurement records in Odoo.
• Monitor orders, deliveries, licenses, warranties, and unresolved actions with suppliers.
• Coordinate shipments and calculate freight, customs, VAT, and landed costs as necessary.
• Maintain records of suppliers and historical purchasing prices.
• Collaborate with finance concerning supplier invoices, payments, credit notes, and discrepancies.
• Report stock shortages, price adjustments, delivery delays, and other procurement-related risks.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with UAE distributors and suppliers.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT procurement, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of IT hardware related to computers, infrastructure, networking, security, surveillance, power, and communication solutions.
• Capability to compare products, verify configurations and part numbers, and identify suitable alternatives.
• Good understanding of UAE IT distributors, suppliers, stock availability, and procurement channels.
• Prior experience with an IT reseller, system integrator, technology distributor, or managed service provider.
• Familiarity with brands like HP, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Fortinet, Synology, APC, Hikvision, Axis, Grandstream, Microsoft, Kaspersky, ESET, Sophos, Veeam, or similar vendors.
• Solid understanding of software licensing, subscriptions, warranties, and renewals.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
• High attention to detail in handling models, quantities, prices, currencies, and delivery terms.
• Proficient in Excel or spreadsheet applications.
• Experience with Odoo or another ERP system is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an added benefit.
• Must reside in the UAE.
