This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop the vision for enterprise architecture, establishing standards, target-state roadmaps, and reference patterns.
• Act as the ultimate authority on architectural decisions, intricate designs, data strategies, and technology trade-offs.
• Recognize architectural risks and technical debt to enhance operational efficiency while minimizing risks.
• Direct the implementation process by overseeing strategic initiatives across essential enterprise systems and contemporary cloud/integration platforms.
• Collaborate with and challenge implementation and product vendors to ensure internal ownership of the technology strategy.
• Standardize integrations: Establish enterprise API, data exchange, and interoperability standards.
• Work alongside IT and business leaders to convert corporate strategy into actionable technology roadmaps.
• Mentor architects, technical leads, and developers on design best practices.
• Ensure that technology solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, business objectives, scalability needs, and operational targets.
• Serve as the final escalation point for architectural decisions regarding complex design matters and technology trade-offs.
• Assess emerging technologies, platform capabilities, and architectural methodologies that could benefit the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience/certifications will be considered).
• Over 15 years of experience in advancing technology roles (software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture).
• Demonstrated success in establishing architectural standards, design review processes, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Extensive knowledge of modern integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, cloud technologies, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Significant familiarity with core insurance functional areas and platforms is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Duck Creek technologies is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in reviewing, guiding, and approving solution designs for large-scale technology implementations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation abilities.
