This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the management of all employee devices (Mac and Windows) throughout the organization.
• Supervise the device lifecycle (procurement, provisioning, maintenance, decommissioning) in collaboration with our PEO provider.
• Administer and enhance our current MDM solution offered by our PEO.
• Provide direct IT support and troubleshooting services across the organization.
• Ensure uniformity in device standards, security configurations, and compliance across all endpoints.
• Monitor expenditures related to IT vendors and software, track billing for IT services, and identify areas for cost reduction and optimization.
• Manage system access for all tools and platforms.
• Design and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes for IT and system access.
• Guarantee least-privilege access and appropriate role-based permissions.
• Monitor and manage access to API keys, credentials, and sensitive integrations, including auditing usage and enforcing secure practices.
• Lead organization-wide cybersecurity initiatives and training programs.
• Implement and manage security tools (e.g., endpoint protection, MFA, SSO).
• Identify risks and proactively enhance our security posture.
• Establish safeguards and governance around the company’s use of AI tools and platforms to ensure secure, responsible, and compliant usage.
• Collaborate with teams to assess emerging AI workflows, tools, and automations for security, privacy, and operational risk.
• Manage and administer our Google Workspace environment (user management, security settings, configurations).
• Evaluate, implement, and manage additional IT systems and tools as the organization scales.
• Maintain vendor relationships for IT-related services, including our PEO for device/MDM.
• Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Establish and uphold data backup and recovery processes.
• Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Create and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures from the ground up.
• Ensure alignment with security best practices and any relevant compliance requirements.
• Produce clear documentation for systems, processes, and internal use.
• Associate Google Workspace Administrator certification.
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to IT in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Comfortable being a solo contributor and making independent decisions.
• Ability to transition seamlessly between strategy and hands-on execution.
• Strong background in device management, identity/access management, and SaaS ecosystems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals with practical implementation of security practices in real-world settings.
• Familiarity with API security, access governance, and contemporary AI tooling considerations in the workplace.
• Proactive, organized, and adept at creating structure in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
