This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Lead multiple cross-functional project teams across 3 to 5 projects with low to medium risk.
• Formulate project teams and create comprehensive project work plans.
• Oversee expectations, deliverables, outcomes, scope, budget, timeline, staffing, vendors, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project milestones and modify plans or resources to fulfill customer commitments.
• Relay project status and potential risks to stakeholders effectively.
• Manage the change processes for designated projects.
• Organize stakeholder meetings and oversee project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and financial aspects.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate team activities and offer performance evaluations.
• Recognize, mitigate, and communicate project risks and dependencies.
• Cultivate relationships and ensure alignment with internal clients, external vendors, and senior management.
• Provide insights to Program Managers regarding objectives, deliverables, and project decisions.
• Track and report on project metrics while sharing lessons learned.
• Assist with non-PMO-standard tasks, such as vendor requests, training materials, operational/business tasks, and reports or databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in project management.
• More than 8 years of relevant IT or business experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in projects that utilize project life cycle methodologies.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and application architectures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project.
• Skilled in using Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience in influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting structures.
• Familiarity with PMI-based project management competencies and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, process management, risk management, quality control, and reporting.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is preferred.
