This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee, support, and enhance corporate and client Linux environments.
• Conduct installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of virtual Linux servers.
• Manage Linux-based infrastructure services to ensure environment availability, performance, and stability.
• Analyze and resolve incidents, problems, and requests related to Linux systems.
• Troubleshoot issues pertaining to operating systems, services, networking, and storage.
• Manage virtualized environments and assist with infrastructure-related tasks.
• Monitor infrastructure tools and take proactive steps to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for the environments managed.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and vendors to address technical inquiries.
• Engage in deployment, upgrade, and continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations when necessary.
• Work in conjunction with the monitoring team and customer support.
• Monitor consoles and respond to alert notifications.
• Adjust virtual server hardware resources as needed.
• Inform the team of actions taken, adhere to communication protocols, and engage support teams when appropriate.
• Respond to phone calls.
• Proven experience administering Linux environments in a production setting.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting operating systems and Linux services.
• Familiarity with virtualized environments.
• Experience in managing infrastructure services.
• Background in supporting critical and client-focused environments.
• Skilled in administering Linux distributions such as Red Hat, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, or Debian.
• Capable of managing users, groups, permissions, ACLs, and file systems.
• Experience with SSH, NFS, Samba, Apache, Nginx, cron, and systemd administration.
• Understanding of package management using YUM/DNF and APT.
• Knowledge of LVM, disk management, and file systems.
• Proficient in Shell Scripting (Bash) for automating administrative tasks.
• Experience with virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix or similar.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, and VPN.
• Bachelor's degree completed or ongoing in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Networks, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Docker, Ansible, and Kubernetes/OpenShift is advantageous.
• Courses in Linux, Shell Scripting, Virtualization, Networking, or Automation are considered a plus.
• Certifications like LPIC-1 or LPIC-2, RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+, and ITIL Foundation are preferred; RHCE is a plus.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:12 to 18:00.
