IT Enterprise Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, govern, and enhance ConnectWise's enterprise data architecture across the internal technology landscape.

• Take ownership of and continuously refine the enterprise data model that encompasses core corporate systems.

• Design and oversee canonical data objects, entity relationships, data taxonomies, and classification standards.

• Set enterprise-wide standards for field-level mapping and integration design principles across systems using the Boomi integration platform.

• Establish semantic and canonical data layers that support enterprise analytics, AI, and automation initiatives.

• Provide architectural leadership for Salesforce, Snowflake, NetSuite, and various other enterprise platforms.

• Direct data architecture efforts related to mergers and acquisitions, including data mapping, integration strategies, and alignment of enterprise data.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Information Security teams to address data quality, governance, compliance, lineage, and protection needs.

• Conduct hands-on data analysis, profiling, querying, and validation.

• Establish and uphold enterprise data standards, governance processes, metadata practices, and documentation of architecture.

• Contribute to the Data Architecture Working Group and influence strategic architectural decisions.

• Work with technical and business stakeholders to promote the adoption of data architecture standards and best practices.

• Communicate recommendations, risks, and strategic directions to leadership and cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized subject matter expert in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and governance.

• Extensive experience in designing enterprise data models, semantic layers, canonical data structures, and master data strategies.

• Advanced understanding of Salesforce data architecture, particularly in highly customized environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Boomi integration architecture.

• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, lineage, classification, and data quality frameworks.

• Experience designing data solutions tailored for enterprise AI, machine learning, analytics, and automation use cases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to influence and establish standards across teams without direct authority.

• Excellent skills in communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation.

• Capable of independently managing large-scale strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, data governance, or related areas.

• Proven experience with Salesforce, Snowflake, NetSuite, and Boomi.

• Preferred experience in supporting enterprise AI, analytics, digital transformation, or M&A integration initiatives.

• Relevant certifications in Salesforce, Snowflake, Boomi, or enterprise architecture are preferred.
