• Direct the IT Engineering function as a player-coach, effectively balancing hands-on tasks with team leadership, prioritization, and operational rigor.
• Take ownership of IT support performance, which includes managing queue health, service level routing, and project execution for a distributed workforce.
• Manage identity and SaaS lifecycle processes across Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Atlassian, focusing on seamless onboarding and offboarding through SCIM and scripting.
• Oversee the company’s macOS-centric endpoint fleet utilizing Iru or similar MDM tools, ensuring secure device posture and compliance standards are maintained.
• Lead the IT efforts for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness, which involves evidence collection, access reviews, control testing, and collaborating on shared controls with Security Engineering.
• Facilitate internal AI tooling enablement for employees, including support for Claude Cowork, managing the organizational skills library, and implementing MCP servers with sustainable operating controls.
• Administer SaaS renewals, access policies, and the IT budget to enhance cost efficiency and the effectiveness of tools.
• Ensure that policies, runbooks, and operating documentation are thorough, up-to-date, and user-friendly to maintain consistent scaling and audit readiness.
• Deliver measurable first-year outcomes, including achieving SLO targets on response and resolution, minimizing manual lifecycle tasks, widespread adoption of Cowork skills, four internal MCP server deployments, and successful SOC 2 / ISO audit cycles with no IT findings.
• Over 7 years of experience in IT or IT engineering, encompassing hands-on work with identity management, endpoint management, and SaaS administration.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams, whether formally or informally, including mentoring, coordinating tasks, and elevating operating standards within a small team.
• Practical experience with Okta or similar identity management platforms such as Entra or JumpCloud.
• Direct experience managing macOS fleets with Iru, Jamf, Kandji, or comparable MDM tools.
• A solid understanding of Google Workspace administration, Slack administration, and Atlassian administration.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or Zsh, with a proven history of creating automation rather than relying solely on admin-console tasks.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 IT controls.
• Exceptional written communication skills and comfort in a highly distributed, documentation-focused environment.
• Regular use of AI tools in practical applications, with clear examples of workflows, scripts, skills, or tools that have been meaningfully developed or adopted.
