This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the daily financial operations, data integration, and governance enforcement for the OCIO budget.
• Ensure adherence to data compliance with newly implemented financial structures and validation protocols.
• Monitor allocations and reconcile key ledger data.
• Support the Front Office spending plan.
• Serve as the primary resource for program offices in executing their validation routines.
• Extract, cleanse, and manually or semi-automatically process raw data exports from core enterprise financial systems.
• Perform daily transaction logging, ledger balance verification, and tracking for the Front Office spending plan.
• Oversee and facilitate the upcoming division validation procedure.
• Monitor division compliance with established reporting schedules.
• Analyze contract Periods of Performance (POPs), process purchase requisitions, and identify execution delays.
• Populate, update, and ensure data integrity for executive Quad Charts, pivot tables, and visual tracking dashboards.
• Recognize and document system inefficiencies and potential opportunities for automation tools.
• Utilize Generative AI platforms for variance explanations and notification templates.
• Conduct regular variance analysis at the individual project level to identify spending trends early in the fiscal year.
• A bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or a data-centric role.
• Advanced skills in either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., complex lookups, nested logic, pivot tables, data cleansing).
• Experience in manually exporting, cleansing, and validating large, unformatted raw datasets from enterprise databases or core financial systems.
• Direct experience in tracking multi-phased project timelines, contract periods of performance (POPs), or multi-year project allocations.
• Familiarity with incorporating artificial intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs) into everyday workflows (e.g., using Gemini or Microsoft Copilot for drafting variance narratives or formatting data).
• Knowledge of the federal budget lifecycle, financial execution phases, or public sector spending planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate across diverse teams to gather data or enforce submission deadlines.
