IT Automation Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineers focused on automation and software development.

• Cultivate an agile and collaborative culture that emphasizes best practices in software development.

• Architect, develop, and maintain automations, internal business applications, and integrations that link our IT platforms with business systems.

• Serve as a bridge between engineering precision and decentralized development efforts.

• Utilize DevOps/SRE methodologies to create automated environments for both internally-developed applications and low-code platforms, as well as vibe-coded applications utilized by other business units.

• Remain actively involved in design, coding, and reviews to empower the team and remove obstacles.

• Ensure effective execution through clear priorities, predictable delivery, and measurable outcomes.

• Collaborate with business, security, and engineering teams to align on requirements, standards, and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading development or technical teams.

• Strong hands-on capabilities and a readiness to contribute technically (up to 50% of your time).

• Extensive experience in production-level development using programming languages such as Python or JavaScript (Node.js) for complex system automations, custom middleware development, and dashboard creation.

• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), API architecture, version control (Git), and CI/CD orchestration.

• Solid foundation in DevOps/SRE principles applied to software deployments, cloud integrations, and low-code infrastructure.

• Basic knowledge of IAM architecture (Least Privilege, RBAC, JIT access) and core enterprise federation/provisioning standards (SCIM, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).

• Proven expertise with workflow engines (e.g., Zapier, Make, N8N).

• General understanding of modern IT infrastructure management ecosystems, including proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), Mobile Device Management (MDM) architectures (e.g., Jamf, Intune), and contemporary cloud Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems (e.g., Okta, Entra ID).

• Familiarity with or strong interest in utilizing generative AI toolsets, LLM APIs, and AI-assisted app development environments (vibe-coding).
