IT Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive IT automation workflows utilizing tools like Tines, Google Apps Script, and Python.

• Streamline processes for employee onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning across platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.

• Develop event-driven automation pipelines for system alerts, user lifecycle management, and various IT workflows.

• Integrate APIs across diverse SaaS and infrastructure platforms to facilitate real-time automation and data synchronization.

• Work alongside Security and IT teams to apply Zero Trust principles and access automation through IdP integrations (Okta, Google Identity, Azure AD).

• Create internal tools and scripts aimed at minimizing manual IT tasks and enhancing operational efficiency.

• Manage automation logic, workflows, and configurations adhering to version control and documentation standards.

• Set up monitoring and alert systems for all automation pipelines to guarantee reliability and performance.

• Investigate and adopt innovative automation frameworks, scripting methods, and no-code/low-code tools to broaden automation capabilities.

• Generate and sustain technical documentation, SOPs, and automation libraries for use across teams.

• Automate the generation and upkeep of operational dashboards to deliver real-time insights into IT metrics, system health, and automation performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in IT Automation, IT Engineering, or DevOps-oriented IT Operations.

• Strong programming and scripting skills in Google Apps Script, Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.

• Demonstrated experience in constructing workflows within automation platforms such as Tines, BetterCloud, Okta Workflows, Zapier, or Workato.

• Solid understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.

• Experience in automating identity and access management (IAM) tasks through APIs (Okta, Google Identity, Azure AD).

• Familiarity with cloud-first environments (Google Workspace, AWS, or GCP).

• Understanding of Zero Trust, SSO, and MFA automation principles.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and analytical abilities.

• An automation-first mindset, with a continuous drive to eliminate manual processes and enhance scalability.
