• Accountable for assisting in the continuous monitoring efforts of the organization's Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance and compliance program.
• Collaborates closely with Information Security, Legal, Risk Management, and business stakeholders to ensure that AI solutions are designed, implemented, and operated in accordance with IT Department policies and procedures.
• Aids compliance activities for AI use cases throughout the model lifecycle, including intake, risk assessment, development, validation, deployment, monitoring, change management, and retirement.
• Offers suggestions for AI governance documentation, such as policies, standards, procedures, model inventories, use-case registers, and control mappings.
• Creates reporting and/or monitoring systems in line with industry best practices to guarantee compliance with relevant state and federal laws/regulations as well as client contractual obligations.
• Organizes and tracks AI-related risk assessments and follows up on remediation actions.
• Assists in collecting evidence and preparing responses for internal audits, external audits, due diligence, and regulatory examinations pertaining to AI governance and controls.
• Reviews documentation and artifacts for thoroughness and accuracy.
• Develops and sustains a repository for AI compliance evidence.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that AI solutions adhere to necessary approvals, testing, monitoring, and incident reporting processes.
• Supports third-party AI/tool due diligence by coordinating documentation requests and evaluating control evidence in partnership with information security.
• Keeps track of internal policy/procedure changes and emerging AI governance expectations to identify potential gaps, offer suggestions, and aid in coordinating implementation.
• Maintains detailed communication regarding assigned requests and initiatives, providing updates on progress and completion status to management and key stakeholders.
• Aids in the creation and delivery of AI governance awareness and training materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field is preferred.
• Over three (3) years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, audit coordination, technology governance, or related fields.
• At least six (6) months of experience supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) model governance, data governance, information security, privacy, or third-party risk management. Advanced AI knowledge and experience are advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations in the financial services and/or mortgage industry is a plus.
• LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process improvement/project management training and/or experience is a plus.
