This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iceland.
• Execute Project Control functions, including Scope and Change management.
• Oversee engineering tasks related to new equipment installations, significant repairs, and upgrades.
• Conduct cost estimation and management activities.
• Assist in defining the project scope, cost estimates, and other resource assessments.
• Evaluate project requirements.
• Deliver engineering designs through drawings, specifications, or other outputs during the engineering design phase, or oversee third-party execution of these tasks.
• Create questionnaires, bills of materials, and requests for quotations, and manage the procurement process to ensure timely availability of all necessary equipment and services for execution.
• Establish technical specifications in agreement with both internal and external customers.
• Plan and schedule project activities.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of the various systems mentioned, or manage third-party contractors performing these functions.
• Ensure these systems operate in accordance with corporate standards and meet the expectations of operational leaders, ensuring all systems are ready for operation on schedule.
• Collaborate with suppliers.
• Accurately identify risks throughout all project phases and effectively address and communicate these risks to safeguard the project's time, budget, and scope.
• Engage with other disciplines, consultants, contractors, plant personnel, or other stakeholders regarding project issues.
• Provide technical guidance/solutions and support on-site activities, identify improvement opportunities, and report on project status and challenges.
• Coordinate activities between plant OI engineering teams and/or third-party suppliers.
• Lead initiatives for improvement projects.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• 5-8 years of experience in IS machine and/or project installations.
• IS Mechanical Journeyman certification (preferred).
• Strong technical expertise regarding IS Machines (assembly, repair, and installation), particularly AAP Components.
• Technical knowledge/experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of project development and control.
• Proficient in English communication is essential.
• Ability to manage execution – Effectively oversee work processes.
• Results-oriented – Demonstrate initiative and dedication.
• Advanced skills in reading drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office at an advanced level.
