IP Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the Internal Quality Control Director.

• Evaluate and review medical record documentation.

• Assess the accuracy of coding and abstracting in accordance with quality review policies and facility guidelines.

• Utilize ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems.

• Carry out patient record reviews through facility EMR, scanning technology, or other established methods.

• Log all reviews daily into Guidehouse's proprietary quality review tracking and trending software.

• Address coder rebuttals within the timelines specified in quality review policies and procedures.

• Execute additional job responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in medical coding or review.

• High School Diploma; relevant experience may replace formal education.

• Must possess one active credential: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC.

• Required to maintain coding credential while employed at Guidehouse.

• Must successfully pass the Guidehouse coding competency exam.

• Previous audit experience is a plus.
