IoT Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and implement solutions across various domains, including Security, Systems, Databases, and Networking Solutions.

• Provide expertise, guidance, technical knowledge, and leadership within the team.

• Effectively convey complex technical and business concepts to both customers and team members.

• Analyze and define problems, leading the gathering of relevant information to make informed and timely decisions.

• Enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and delivery of services by leveraging technology and technical methodologies.

• Lead the design, development, integration, delivery, and continuous enhancement of highly scalable distributed software.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and features throughout the agile software development lifecycle.

• Manage and address technical debt, vulnerabilities, and the currency of third-party components within the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in one or more of the following IoT areas:

• 1. Programming & Development: Write efficient code (Python, Java) for embedded devices, firmware, and middleware.

• 2. Automation, APIs & Testing: Integrate APIs and conduct tests on firmware, connectivity, and system performance.

• 3. Hardware & Embedded Systems: Work with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and fundamental electronics.

• 4. IoT Networking & Protocols: Utilize MQTT, HTTP, LoRaWAN, and others to facilitate device communication.

• 5. Platforms: Oversee container-based middleware and platforms, managing devices and data on Google partner solutions (Mapify, City as a Platform), IBM Maximo, and ThingsBoard.

• 6. Data Management, Dashboards & Reporting: Process and structure sensor data (SQL, PostgreSQL) and create dashboards and reports through iterative validation cycles with customers.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
