This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Proactively sourcing new investment opportunities and evaluating incoming leads for the firm by engaging with entrepreneurs.
• Assisting the team in assessing new investment prospects through market analysis, product evaluations, competitive assessments, metrics analysis, customer/user feedback, and operational and financial diligence.
• Aiding in the negotiation of all transactions between the company and potential acquisitions; preparing investment conclusions and similar presentations for management to facilitate assessment, valuation, and modeling of various transaction types and structures.
• Collaborating with the legal and finance departments to ensure a smooth execution of merger and acquisition transactions.
• Developing comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses for all potential deals and contributing to the preparation of technical reports for senior management that effectively convey all review findings.
• Staying updated on market trends related to mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that all M&A initiatives of the business comply with legal standards.
• Supporting and mentoring Analysts in engaging with prospective business/company owners and handling other M&A responsibilities.
• Identifying and addressing potential risks linked to acquisitions and the execution of deals.
• A Bachelor's Degree *required* (Master's degree preferred) in Business/Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field with a strong GPA.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Private Equity Investing, Corporate Finance, Banking, or in an M&A role.
• Proven ability to build relationships and effectively manage foreign business executives and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, financial concepts, financial modeling, business modeling, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal/presentation), coupled with a high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly integrate and work effectively within a global team of professionals.
• Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, demanding environment with time-sensitive deliverables while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• A results-driven individual who is self-motivated, proactive, and requires minimal supervision, excelling both independently and in a group setting while comfortably interacting with business executives.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
