This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +11 more states.
• Assess sales forecasts and implement inventory purchases that enhance sales optimization, meet turn expectations, and achieve in-stock targets across a diverse SKU assortment.
• Utilize AI-driven demand forecasting tools to convert signals into actionable replenishment decisions while applying judgment to determine when manual intervention can enhance the model.
• Manage and uphold supplier configurations and replenishment parameters within planning and ERP systems for your designated vendor base.
• Analyze forecast anomalies and enhance accuracy and bias through data-driven adjustments.
• Track essential inventory KPIs and initiate corrective actions. Create and sustain reporting in Looker, Excel, and AI-enhanced analytics tools that not only describe past performance but also recommend future actions.
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Marketing teams to devise strategies aimed at reducing aged inventory.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to replenishment orders and forecast commitments.
• Coordinate with Billing and Accounting regarding discrepancies in invoicing and receipts.
• Monitor orders from PO submission through EDI confirmation and receipt at fulfillment centers.
• Suggest stock balance transfers between warehouse locations based on demand signals and fulfillment analytics.
• Advocate for continuous enhancement in planning systems, data quality, and processes. Proactively identify and test AI and automation opportunities—such as anomaly detection, automated reorder triggers, and scenario modeling—and share successful strategies with the wider team.
• 4–6 years of experience in inventory planning and procurement within a DTC or digitally native eCommerce environment, showcasing success in managing a high-SKU, high-velocity assortment.
• Practical experience with demand forecasting platforms like Relex, Toolio, Anaplan, or similar—along with a genuine interest in evaluating and adopting emerging planning technologies.
• Proven fluency in AI specifically applied to inventory planning workflows—such as demand sensing, automated replenishment, anomaly detection, or scenario modeling—and a strong desire to advance as tools evolve.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is required; experience with Looker or a comparable BI tool is highly preferred.
• A documented history of meeting core inventory metrics: in-stock rate, turnover, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, and reduction of aged inventory.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills—capable of translating planning data into clear, actionable insights for Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Operations partners.
• A proactive work ethic; you actively seek the best available tools, take initiative without being prompted, and consider continuous improvement an integral part of your role rather than an additional task.
