Interventionist Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Adjust and refine the K12 curriculum to comply with state content standards and cater to the individual needs of each student.

• Collaborate with general education teachers through tailored and small-group sessions for specific students.

• Inform parents about instructional strategies.

• Implement the RTI instructional framework to enhance student achievement.

• Supervise data collection and progress monitoring at all tiers.

• Utilize student data to assist teachers in planning both whole-group and small-group instruction.

• Support teachers in identifying and organizing students who require additional assistance.

• Gather and maintain RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.

• Act as a daily RTI resource for school administrators, leadership teams, and other stakeholders.

• Coordinate and monitor Tier 2 interventions in collaboration with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel.

• Provide training and assistance to school and district staff regarding RTI and data-collection protocols.

• Aid teachers in documenting student progress.

• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate special education eligibility processes.

• Travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student assessments, and school obligations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Active state teaching license or teaching certificate.

• If certification is from another state, obtain West Virginia reciprocity within 60 days of employment.

• Ability to clear the necessary background check.

• Capacity to work independently, generally exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during work hours.

• Skill in interpreting and creating numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data for instructional decision-making.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators.

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours while staying fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curricula.

• Strong preference for residents of West Virginia; residents of Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia may also be considered.
