InterSystems IRIS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain applications utilizing InterSystems IRIS and ObjectScript.

• Enhance and modernize the VX130 data extraction and transformation processes.

• Analyze data structures, FileMan files, globals, and metadata within VistA.

• Develop IRIS classes, APIs, utilities, and automation solutions.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs along with system integrations.

• Troubleshoot issues related to applications, databases, and data processing.

• Support IRIS Mirror, backup/recovery, and high-availability environments.

• Optimize performance for IRIS applications and databases.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and technical stakeholders.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and development activities.

• Conduct code reviews and advocate for best practices in development.

• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.

• Work alongside InterSystems support to resolve complex technical challenges.

• Contribute to automation, CI/CD, and initiatives for platform modernization.

• Support production deployments, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment activities.

• Assume additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary to help achieve team objectives and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing applications with InterSystems Cache and/or InterSystems IRIS.

• More than 3 years of experience in development using ObjectScript.

• Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational database concepts.

• Experience in developing REST APIs and implementing system integrations.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex software applications and database systems.

• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
