This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Compile and summarize data to create a loss analysis template aimed at identifying financial health, risks, and distinguishing between controllable and uncontrollable losses.
• Review all previous claims submitted to assess potential recoverability and report on discernible recoverable versus non-recoverable losses.
• Detect trends, provide advice to internal business units, and propose recommendations to senior management.
• Assess the level of risk in detail.
• Collaborate with management to guide and influence long-term strategic decision-making.
• Clarify audit findings and suggest solutions to management.
• Support the development of financial models, perform benchmarking and process analysis.
• Propose innovative alternatives and recommendations to lower costs and enhance financial performance.
• Comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, as well as investor and insurer guidelines.
• Undertake other assigned duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A college degree in Business, Math, English, Legal, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with mortgage banking, including knowledge of RESPA, FDCPA, GLBA, and federal and state laws pertaining to foreclosure and bankruptcy processes.
• 2-4 years of experience, preferably in a mortgage banking setting.
• Extensive understanding of: FHA Part A and B claim filing, FHA supplemental claim filing, FHA loss mitigation claim filing, VA claim filing, and USDA claim filing.
• Capability to audit and analyze work outputs by interpreting guidelines and standards set by government agencies and departments.
• Advanced analytical abilities, with a talent for problem analysis and providing appropriate solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to analyze data and offer recommendations for improving trends.
• Must maintain high confidentiality to safeguard client privacy rights.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Internet, and MSP (LPS/Fidelity) applications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a professional context.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while taking direction from senior personnel.
• Proven capability to prioritize tasks effectively during periods of high volume and within critical timeframes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
