Internal Medicine Field Medical Director, non-MD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide specialized cardiovascular-metabolic therapeutic/product knowledge for the designated therapeutic area, engaging a wide range of external medical stakeholders.

• Develop and implement an independent medical strategy and foster engagement with the appropriate external medical stakeholders within a specified territory.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer products.

• Act as a resource and conduit for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Enhance patient care through improved Medical communications and deliverables.

• Educate external medical stakeholders on existing gaps in patient care.

• Meet leadership-defined goals regarding the engagement of external medical stakeholders.

• Present approved medical content related to Pfizer products and pertinent topics in cardiovascular and metabolic fields.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health science is mandatory.

• PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent terminal doctoral degree (e.g., Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy) is highly preferred.

• Relevant experience is required: PharmD/PhD with 5 years of experience, MBA/MSc with 7 years of experience, or BA/BSc with 8 years of experience.

• Demonstrate a wide range of leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence, collaborate with peers, and create business impact.

• Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Show outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Manage a substantial volume of projects developed in a remote setting.

• Function effectively within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team.

• Operate a Pfizer company vehicle and frequently travel by airplane.
