This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Expand the engineering teams and contractor capabilities in alignment with business objectives and project requirements.
• Spearhead the modernization of Clario’s clinical software platforms, which includes both front-end and back-end systems utilizing technologies such as .NET, Java, AWS, and Oracle databases.
• Formulate and implement a technical strategy aimed at enhancing platform scalability, reliability, performance, and delivery speed.
• Oversee engineering teams that are responsible for clinical data ingestion systems, software development, architecture, DevOps transformation, and platform enhancements.
• Promote the adoption of contemporary engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and refined software delivery processes.
• Establish practices for platform reliability and observability through effective monitoring strategies, system health metrics, performance tracking, and proactive issue detection.
• Offer technical leadership and architectural direction for secure, scalable, and highly available systems that support clinical research operations.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Clinical Systems, Quality, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with customer and business priorities.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point, assisting teams in overcoming complex engineering challenges and enhancing overall system stability.
• Guide engineering leaders and cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, with substantial experience in leading engineering teams and enterprise technology projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale engineering organizations, including distributed teams, engineering leaders, and contractors.
• A robust technical foundation in enterprise software development, including proficiency in Java, .NET/C#, Oracle databases, full-stack development, and modern software architectures.
• Proven experience in leading platform modernization initiatives, DevOps transformations, and enhancements in software delivery practices.
• Experience in implementing observability, monitoring, reliability, and performance management strategies across intricate platforms.
• Familiarity with medical device software, healthcare technology, clinical data ingestion systems, or other regulated environments that demand high reliability and quality standards.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities with experience collaborating with Product Management, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
